Multi parameter measuring station for diabetes patients

ACARES offers a (mobile) multi parameter measuring station to guide diabetes patients in a non hospital environment. At these stations patients suffering from diabetes can measure and transfer important medical parameters like glucose, blood pressure and weight. Glucose values are periodically measured by the patients themselves using their own glucose meter. The glucose values collected over a period of time can be transferred at this station as well.

The medical values then are transferred to a medical service centre and will be judged by a professional trained and licensed staff. If the values are above- or below normal levels the medical service centre will take action and inform the patient, the GP and/or the hospital specialist. The reason for developing this station is to create a cost effective way of motivating diabetics to measure relevant medical parameters on a regular basis and in an easy way. By doing this, unnecessary hospital visits will decrease and medication compliance can be achieved. Patients with different chronic illnesses can be monitored using the same kind of measuring station.

The multi parameter measuring station can be installed in a (mobile) lockable cabin, which can be placed in public environments like a pharmacy, a shopping mall or subway station.
