Mobile Personal Emergency Response System
Stationary Personal Emergency Response Systems reduce the mobility of the elderly. Although they are physically able to go outdoors, they do not feel safe outside the ‘monitored environment' of their own home. Mobility is a critical element of quality of life and for that reason ACARES 
introduces the GeoSKeeper™.
The GeoSKeeper™ is a portable wireless communication device which enables the user to get immediately in contact with:
- a (medical) service center
- a care giving relative
With the GeoSKeeper™ it is possible to make an emergency call without dialing a phone number by just a single push of a preprogrammed button.
The GeoSKeeper™ has a built-in GPS receiver which enables an operator to see the user's exact position via an interactive map on a secured website. If any form of assistance to the user is required, the operator can send the appropriate service to the user’s location. In case of medical alert, the contact details of the users’ relatives and the medical history are available for the helping emergency service.
Furthermore a predefined zone can be set up in which the user is authorized to move (Geofencing).
If the user moves in- or outside the predefined zone, an automatic alert message is send. The operator can see the exact position on the interactive map and can take appropriate action.
